Tamil Nadu Govt has launched a new Official Portal simplifying the application process of Tamil Nadu Pudhalvan Scheme. All students of Tamil Nadu state who want to apply for the scheme must register on the UMIS Portal because they can’t without UMIS Login ID and Password. This scheme was launched by Mr MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu State on August 9, 2024. In this scheme, the Tamil Nadu government will provide financial assistance of amount 1000 rupees to all eligible students.

User name: The user name is the EMIS/UMIS number (you may get it from your respective institute nodal officer). For example, 9*******12
Password: The default password is an 8-digit combination of the last 4 digits of their mobile number registered in UMIS and their year of birth. For example, if your mobile number is 9876543210 and your DOB is 12/09/1999, then the password is ‘32101999’.
